🗓 When is the Hicks Fest Dance?


Saturday, March 7th

Dinner: 5:45–6:30 PM

Dance: 6:30–9:00 PM

Hicks Elementary School

 

👫 Who can attend?


Hicks students and their chaperones. Space is limited!
Due to space limitations, no outside guests or siblings who aren't Hicks students, please!

 

🎟 How do we enter?

 

  • Wristbands = your ticket! Please wear them when arriving.
    • Students - $17
    • Chaperones -  $15

 

📦 How do we get our wristbands?  

 

  • Available for purchase on Hicks PTA Website.
  • Tickets/wristbands will be sent home with students if purchased by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday 3/5. Tickets/wristbands purchased after that will need to be picked up at Will Call the day of the dance.
  • Be sure to check student folders and back packs to see if tickets/wristbands/meal tickets were sent home, even if purchased after 3/5 (some may be able to be distributed last minute and sent home with students). If you do not find them, go to Will Call when you arrive for the dance.

💡 Forgot or lost your wristband?

 

  • Check in at Will Call for help!

 

🛒 Can I buy wristbands at the door?

  • Only if we don’t sell out! Buy early to secure your spot.

 

🚗 Can I drop off my student?

  • No drop-offs allowed. Students must be accompanied by a chaperone at all times.

 

👗 What should we wear?

 

  • Anything! The theme of the dance this year is musical festival, so anything you would wear to that. 

 

 

 

Will food and drinks be available?

  • Yes! We the items below will be available for purchase via tickets. Additional tickets can be purchased using card or cash at the dance.

 

  • We also have meals from Carrabba's available for purchase here. There will be very limited meals to purchase at the dance so be sure to pre-purchase!

 

 

💳 Payment methods accepted?

 

  • Cash/card can be used to purchase tickets for concessions.
  • Hicks swag can be purchased with cash/card.

 

🏫 What parts of Hicks will be open?

  • Gym
  • Cafeteria
  • Library - Sensory/Quiet Area and movie with crafts

Restrooms near the cafeteria will be available. Other areas of the school will be closed.

 

🤝🏡 Is the Spring Dance a Fundraiser?

 

  • Hicks PTA designated our two "major fundraisers" this year as the Silent Auction and Color Fun Run.  Additional fundraisers, like spirit nights, the holiday shop, mascot visits and marquee announcements, help fund Hicks programs and initiatives as well.  While the Spring Dance is not intended to be a fundraiser because we have balanced our budget for the year, there is still opportunity to generate revenue if profits exceed expenses. Any potential profits from the Spring Dance will directly support Hicks programs and initiatives. 

 

🚓 Will there be security?

 

  • Yes, a Hicks Guardian will be on-site for the dance.
