Does your child enjoy art, music and dance or have an interest in writing, producing films or taking photos? Then watch them unleash their inner artist with PTA Reflections.

Reflections is a program that encourages students to explore the arts. The theme of the 23-24 program is “I am Hopeful Because...” and Hicks students can submit entries related to that theme in the categories of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts. 

School winners will be recognized and will advance to the district competition. Entry forms can be accessed here and can be submitted to the Hicks Art Room with your artwork. You can also email thesreflections04@gmail.com to submit your entry virtually. 

Complete rules for each category are below. Entrants must have at least one parent or guardian who is a current Hicks PTA member. For inspiration, visit the national Reflections virtual art gallery and learn more about national-level prizes and scholarships at PTA.org/Reflections/Awards.

Reflections Submission Guidelines

*Please note that Hicks will accept virtual submissions for all categories except visual arts. An original copy of your visual arts entry will need to be submitted to the Hicks Art Room. All participants who submit an entry must be members of our Hicks PTA- either the student him/herself or a family member in the same household.
