Our annual Hicks Fall Book Fair is right around the corner, and we need your help to make it a "Dolly-rific" success for our students!
We are so excited that you want to shop with your student and help select the right books! We also know how precious your time is, which is why we are only asking for a one hour commitment. We could really use your help with other students too! Many of our younger students don't quite understand why we add tax to their total amount...Who is Tax and why does he get part of my money? We also need help making sure our students are purchasing age appropriate books.
Volunteer roles include:
- Greeters & Flow Control: Welcoming students and keeping the traffic moving.
- Book Finders: Helping eager readers locate their favorite stories and titles.
- Cashier Assistants: Keeping the checkout lines organized and running smoothly.
- Restocking Crew: Keeping shelves looking neat and filled with books.
No prior experience is necessary! We will show you exactly what to do when you arrive. Plus, it is incredibly rewarding to watch the students get so excited about reading.

Every purchase at our Book Fair did more than spark a love of reading — it directly supported our teachers and classrooms. A portion of every dollar raised goes right back to our school to provide books and learning resources used by our students every day.
