To make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

Hicks PTA is dedicated to maximizing the educational experience of our students during their years at Tom Hicks Elementary! Our goal is to ensure every child is represented by the THES PTA. Please join and help us make all our students’ potential a reality. 

More than 30 years of research has proven that children do better when their parents are involved both at home and at school. Grades and test scores climb. Self-esteem grows. Schools improve. 

Being an active PTA member has many advantages like the following: 

• It is a great way to become familiar with the teachers in the school.
• It allows you to have some influence over how money from fundraising is spent to benefit the school.
• It allows you to stay “tuned in” to what your child is doing at school every day.
• You belong to a community of parents committed to their children's well-being and to improving school performance.
