Staff Educational PTA Grant Program
The Hicks PTA is excited to provide funding for the Hicks Staff Education PTA Grant Program based on the monetary results available from our PTA fundraisers.
Who may apply for a PTA Grant? Individual teachers, groups of teachers and staff who are all current member of the Hicks PTA may apply.
When do I apply? Applications are due on the Friday before each scheduled board meeting. Applications will be considered by the PTA board and awarded to spend within the school year. No late applications will be accepted. Grants will be considered at the board meeting following the deadline, and voted on for approval of the general membership.
How do I apply? In order to apply for grant funds, you must complete the grant application. The application is available on the Hicks PTA website by clicking here. You must be logged into the website. Please complete and submit the application and email to thes4president@gmail.com by Friday before each scheduled board meeting. How may the funds be used? The goal of the funding is to be used on incremental items or programs that offer creative and innovative approaches to the delivery of curriculum, benefiting as many students as possible.
A few key details:
- Funds awarded must be spent in the current school year, ONLY on the approved item/program what was originally approved in the grant request. Any remaining funds not spent (because of a discount or overestimating the cost) will roll back into the PTA general fund.
- All grant requests are reviewed by the principal for continuity and so that all resources are considered in the approval process. Vendors may be LISD approved or outside vendors. Please check with more than one source to compare costs.
