Note: We've learned some students are incorrectly showing as inactive on our website, which prevents appropriate volunteer opportunities, class fees, etc. from displaying. Please double-check your students are active by going to My Account > Family Information and then advancing to the Student Information page. If your student is inactive, there will be an option to reactivate them.

SAVE THE DATE: Hicks PTA Fall Festival is Friday, 11/5 from 6-9pm. 

Does your child enjoy art, music and dance or have an interest in writing, producing films or taking photos? Then watch them unleash their inner artist with PTA Reflections. 

Reflections is a program that encourages students to explore the arts. The theme of the 21-22 program is “I Will Change The World By…,” and Hicks students can submit entries related to that theme in the categories of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts. 

School winners will be recognized and will advance to the district competition.

Entries in all categories will be accepted now through Friday, Oct. 15th. Entry forms can be accessed here and can be submitted to the Hicks office with your artwork. You can also email thesreflections04@gmail.com to submit your entry virtually. 

Complete rules for each category are listed on our website. Entrants must have at least one parent or guardian who is a current Hicks PTA member. Mark your calendars for the 2021 Scholastic Fall Book Fair Sept. 20-24. We'll need several volunteers for this fun event, so stay tuned for more info on when, where, and how to volunteer. Hurry and get your background check done ASAP on Voly so you'll be able to help our sweet kiddos shop for books!

LISD requires cleared background checks for all on-campus visitors. Register on Voly and submit your background check ASAP so you can sign up for volunteer opps, field trips, and general meetings. Be sure to become a fan of Hicks Elementary so our school opps appear in your feed first. (Note: It could take up to three weeks for your background check to clear.)
