Hicks PTA Newsletter Volume 7, Issue 6 - November 10th, 2025

Hello Hicks Families,

Fall is in full swing, and so is our PTA! As the leaves change, our school community continues to grow stronger through your support and participation. We just wrapped our Fall Carnival and Silent Auction! These two events are major fundraisers for our school and so much fun was had by all who were able to participate!

We’re excited to share updates, upcoming events, and ways you can get involved this season. Thank you for helping us make Hicks a wonderful place for every student to learn and thrive!

Veteran's Day Program

Hicks will be honoring Veterans on Tuesday, November 11.

Veterans and service members, along with their families, are invited to coffee and breakfast at 8 a.m. in the Hicks Library.

Due to fire code and the amount of space in the gym, we are asking for families to attend the Veterans Day Program at 9 a.m. in the gym ONLY if they have a Veteran present or they have children in grades 3-5 performing.

Let’s come together to share ideas, plan upcoming events, review recent grant requests and strengthen our school community. Whether you’re a returning member or new to the PTA, your voice matters!

We hope to see you there — together, we can make a positive impact for our kids!

National PTA School of Excellence

The Hicks PTA is renewing our participation in the National PTA School of Excellence Program, which celebrates strong partnerships between families, schools, and PTAs to enhance student learning and well-being.

We need your input to help make this a success! Please take a few minutes to complete the short Community Feedback Survey by November 19th. Your feedback will help us choose a focus area for our action plan.

Throughout the year, we will share our goals and progress in the selected area.

Fall Carnival

What a Night!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our annual Fall Carnival! The evening was packed with fun— students braved the Creepy Critters, enjoyed sweet cotton candy, and had a blast on the rides and games. It was wonderful to see so many families come together to celebrate fall and support our school.

We couldn’t have done it without our amazing volunteers, teachers/staff and sponsors. A special thank you to our Fall Carnival Chair, Blair Campbell, our VP of Fundraising, Kayla Blessman, and the members of the Fall Carnival Committee — your time and effort made the night unforgettable!

Silent Auction - Did You Win?!

Our Silent Auction has officially closed, and we’re thrilled with the amazing participation from our school community! Thank you to everyone who bid and donated! Thank you to our Silent Auction chair, Brissa Palacios, our VP of Fundraising, Kayla Blessman, Room Parents and everyone who helped make this an awesome auction!
