PTA General Meeting #2/Room Parent Meeting Tomorrow (11/18)

PTA will have its second general meeting/room parent winter party planning meeting tomorrow, Nov. 18, at 1:45pm in the cafeteria.

Snacks for the Staff

It's Snack Time for our AWESOME Hicks staff! Hicks PTA is refilling the Timberwolf Snack Bar to provide teachers and staff with free snacks during the day. We need your help!

Bring individually packaged, non-perishable items to stock the snack bar like trail mixes, chips, cookies, popcorn, sweet treats, granola bars, jerky, canned beverages, or any other type of snacks you’d like to share. Please drop off your item(s) at the Hicks Office through Friday, December 3.
Decorate a heart! Print this heart and have your child write a message or decorate the heart. Hearts can be returned to the Hicks Office with your snack donation.

Save the Date for Penguin Patch

Penguin Patch is coming Dec. 7-9! Students will have the opportunity to shop for loved ones IN PERSON this year. PTA puts on this shopping experience that allows students the freedom to shop on their own and pick out gifts to SURPRISE loved ones. The kids love the freedom to choose special gifts for mom, dad, sister, brother, aunt, uncle, cousin, even teachers!

Our school holiday shop is a great excuse to encourage your children to earn money. Here are a few ideas on how they can earn money to shop: Make their bed, help bring in the groceries, help a sibling with a project, feed the dog, or assist grandparents with chores.

PTA will need volunteers to help set up, break down, and assist students during classroom shopping hours. Reflections is an annual national PTA program that encourages students to explore the arts. This year's theme was "I Will Change the World By..." and students submitted work related to that theme in a variety of arts categories.
