Thank you to the staff, students, parents, and volunteers who made this Book Fair such a success. We couldn’t have done it without all of you! It was wonderful to be able to hold the Happy Camper Book Fair in a more traditional way in the school library.

The Book Fair made $16,052.45 in total sales and this translates to $7,414.53 Scholastic Dollars for our school. Also, thank you to all who donated books during the Fair: 256 books were donated to be sent to an underserved school in LISD. Come back and see us in the Spring for our next shopping adventure!

Staff Snacks Due Friday, 10/1!

The first round of Timberwolf Snack Bar treats are due this Friday, Oct. 1. Please drop them by the office any time through Friday.

Decorate a heart! Print this heart and have your child write a message or decorate the heart. Hearts can be returned to the Hicks Office with your snack donation.

Eat Mor Chikin Spirit Event

Our October Spirit Event is next week on Thursday, 10/7! Come join us at the Chick Fil-A on Spring Creek and Hwy 121. The first 100 students who attend between 4pm and 7pm get a FREE mini-moo plush toy.

Donations, Sponsorships, Silent Auction Baskets Due Oct. 8

We're still collecting donations and sponsorships for Fall Festival! Do you own a business or work for a company that matches donations? Please consider a monetary donation to Hicks PTA's largest fundraiser, Fall Festival, or an in-kind donation/gift card/gift basket donation to our Online Silent Auction, which runs 10/29-11/5.

Parents, don't forget to donate to your classroom silent auction basket. Contact your room parent for more info. All baskets are due to the school office by Friday, 10/8.

Watch D.O.G.S. Kicks Off Oct. 13

Join us on Wednesday, October 13, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for the Watch D.O.G.S. Pizza Kickoff Night with special guest Tiger-Rock Martial Arts!

The Watch D.O.G.S. program will be limited to approximately one Friday per week for the remainder of the school year, so sign ups will go fast! Complete your background check in Voly by visiting https://lewisvilleisd.voly.org/ today.

The SignupGenius link with dates/times will go live on the evening of October 13. Only those volunteers who have completed their background checks in Voly can sign up for a slot.

Support Hicks at Hebron Homecoming Parade Oct. 20

Hicks Elementary, come on down! Join Hicks Elementary for the Hebron High School Homecoming Parade on Wednesday, October 20. The parade theme is TV Shows, and our float will be Price is Right themed.

Please meet at 5:30pm at the Hicks float in the Hebron High School student parking lot. The parade will begin at 6pm and a pep rally will follow. All Hicks students and their families are invited to participate.

Wear your Hicks Spirit Wear or dress as a Price is Right contestant. We'll provide candy to throw as we walk a short loop around the high school.

LISD requires cleared background checks for all on-campus visitors. Register on Voly and submit your background check ASAP so you can sign up for volunteer opps, field trips, and general meetings. Be sure to become a fan of Hicks Elementary so our school opps appear in your feed first. (Note: It could take up to three weeks for your background check to clear.)
